Open communication with caregivers, youth and community members is key to building trust, gaining support, and increasing program transparency. Use the recruitment Letter and community examples to promote the program to participants and their caregivers.

Encourage caring adults involved in your program to text the word “EMPOWER” to 94449. They’ll receive weekly text messages from Healthy Native Youth that offer culturally appropriate tips and resources, covering sexual health, pregnancy, STDs, and consent to better support the youth as they learn.
